BRIDGES is holding a series of three webinars on new ways of telling migration narratives in Spanish, French and English on June 19, 20 and 21, respectively
How can we create new narratives on migration? How can we promote alternative, more inclusive accounts on these issues against the backdrop of increasingly polarised and exclusionary discourses? With the aim of translating research results into useful tips and guidelines for civil society organisations and communication professionals working in the field of migration, BRIDGES is organising a series of online training sessions on new ways of telling migration, conducted by Por Causa.
A total of three online sessions are being held and live streamed through the BRIDGES YouTube channel, each of them in a different language in order to make these contents available to different local and national audiences. The webinars will then be organised in Spanish, French and English on June 19, 20 and 21, respectively. All of them at 6:30pm CET. Attendance is open and free upon registration for anyone interested in the creation of new narratives on migration.
These webinars will disseminate the key ideas of the Toolkit on ‘New ways of telling migration narratives’, which was produced as part of BRIDGES Work Package 4’s co-production efforts. As such, it builds on the research on the role of civil society in promoting alternative narratives on migration amidst a context very often dominated by exclusionary discourses on these issues. It also picks up the discussions held during the workshop with civil society organisations, which took place in Mainz in September 2022, thus gathering the experiences of the initiatives that participated in the event and were analysed under this Work Package.
